A wave of violent attacks by a rebel organization known as the Les Microbe is ongoing in Douala this past day. The recent attacks began on 14, Dec 2022. At Marché Centrale, members of the Les Microbe organisation attacked people in the market with knife and cutlasses. As a means to protect their safety, shop owners locked themselves in their shops with customers to stay clear of perpetrators. Hours after the terrors police officers intervened to ensure the safety of the population.
Les Microbe continue to reign attacks. The nest target was the Douala university campus. Student were attacked on campus in the same style the market was ramset. Students again had to seek refuse in lecture offices.
They continue to raid neighbourhoods in Douala. The names of the quarters are: Rhône-Poulenc Makepe, Makepe Saint Tropez, Ange Raphaël, Deido, Makepe-Missoke, Bepanda, New Bell, Makea, Ndogbong, Ndokoti, and Bonamoussadi. In the attacks on this different neighborhoods, some people hid themselves in bars in a bid to escape Les Microbe.
One of the super markets in Douala, Carrefour Market at Bonamoussadi locked their customers inside to protect them against the Microbe.
Retribution
As retribution for the terror Les Microbe created in Douala, indigenes apprehended an alleged Microbe member who was forced to disclose the location of his crew members. There are two other confirm kills of the organization members.
Damages Caused by Les Microbe
Several people have been recorded wounded from the attacks. Material damages recorded include broken cars and road side businesses.

Forces of law and order storm the street to reclaim it from Les Microbe organisation. Some Microbe members were shot by the military to put get the city back to normalcy.
Background Information
A week prior to the attacks police officer gunned down a man named Zidane. Zidane was an alleged Microbe member. According to police reports Zidane was a drug dealer. He resisted police arrest and as a result got shot. His peer swear that he is not involved with drugs.
As a form of retaliation Zidane’s friends went to the Laquintinie mortuary to seize his corpse in protest to his death. Police officers arrested the perpetrators of this crime. Les Microbe organisation stage an outright strike in Douala.

– Prohibition of activities of Commercial bikes at night (12 midnight to 6am)
– Closure of bars, Drinking spots and Game houses in some neighbourhoods of Douala.
– Ban on the carrying of machetes, knives and sharp objects
– Arrest of persons spreading fake news even on social media
