Ekona-Muea Accident

Claim: 22 million travellers stuck due to the Ekona-Muea accident.

Verdict: In the Video, the person recording mentioned they were about 22 million people at the accident scene that information is incorrect. Travelers may have been suck coming in to Buea or from Buea but they were not up to 22 million.

In the early hours of Wednesday 14, December 2022 a video surfaced capturing the Ekona-Muea accident. This accident is alleged caused by the dirt disposal company in Cameroon Hysacam. Dirt collected from Buea is dumped along the stretch of the Ekona-Muea road, 100 meters from the express road.

A few days ago, an accident occurred leaving the vehicle to catch flames. Gradually the hip of dirt caught fire as well. Due to moister in the hip of dirt, it caused smoke. This made the road foggy and difficult to drive in.

Eye witness claim that the camion driver couldn’t see the small vehicle ahead of him because of the smoke fog. The camion driver crushed the small vehicle killing 7. The string of events which were all wrong and avoidable led to the death of 7 people in the small car.
