Ko-C accused of stealing intellectual property

Claim: Ko-C’s recently released a single titled “Landé”. A portion of the song is a copyright from a comedy skit. The comedians responds was reporting the song on TikTok. As of today, the tune has been removed from all videos generated with that sound. Ko-C accused of stealing intellectual property hence removal of tune.

K0-C, a Cameroonian musician, just released “Landé,” a new song which he feature in, in celebration of the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar.
Many TikTokers have remade the artist’s video and posted it on the app. All of the videos made with the song lack audio as a result of the copyright report.

According to some accounts, the skits were created before Ko-C submitted a copyright to his music and has since settled with the comedians. Ko-C’s recently released single is unknown if it is copyright violation since the comedians do not have a copyright to the skit.
